Cardiff City FC Event

Below is an article about racism and the experience of attending our event that young people have produced and written in school after attending our event with Cardiff City FC

Show Racism the RED Card

By pupils from Tondu Primary school in Bridgend.

Year 5 went to Cardiff City Stadium to learn about Show Racism the Red Card.

We learned that racism is not just about skin colour it’s about nationality, religion and culture.
Also year 5 watched a dvd about racism and they had some posters at the end. Three people had signed it and two played for Cardiff City and the other person was 1 of Danny Rose’s best friends.

Everyone had a chance to ask some important questions. Cary Thomas and Dionne Tapner were the only ones to ask a question and there was a competition for who had the best question.

One of the children won it and the person who won was Dionne Tapner from Tondu. She won two tickets to see Cardiff City play football live.

Carys Thomas said “I found it interesting when we had to answer questions.”

Siobhan Cundle said “It was interesting how many skin colours there are”.

Shannon Evans said “I found it interesting when they showed us photos”.
